Chevy Chase Ballroom is hiring dance instructors in Washington, DC. Located in the Friendship Heights neighborhood of Northwest DC, steps from the Friendship Heights Metro station, our studio has been the heartbeat of the DC dance community since 1968. We're looking for passionate dancers to join our teaching team in the Chevy Chase area and greater DMV region.
What sets us apart: we provide relocation support for out-of-area candidates and paid instructor training for those new to teaching. No prior teaching experience is required if you have a strong dance background. Whether you're a recent dance school graduate, a performing artist looking for stable work, or an experienced ballroom dance teacher, we want to hear from you.
Our instructors come from world-class backgrounds: coaching Cirque du Soleil artists, training Paralympic athletes, and competing at World Championship level. You'll learn alongside mentors who are actively competing and evolving. The teaching mix includes group classes and private lessons across ballroom, Latin, and social dance styles.

The Role
What You'll Do
- Lead vibrant group classes across ballroom, Latin, and social dance styles
- Teach private lessons tailored to individual student goals and aspirations
- Prepare students for showcases, competitions, and special events like weddings
- Contribute to class curriculum and help shape the studio's creative direction
- Maintain a welcoming, energetic atmosphere on and off the floor
What We're Looking For
- Strong dance background with a desire to teach; prior teaching experience is a plus, not a requirement
- Clear communication and a student-first mindset
- Professional reliability: punctual, prepared, team-oriented
- Availability for prime teaching hours (evenings and weekends)

Alina
General Manager & Instructor
Alina
Alina was born in Russia and began her dance training with ballet, crossing over to her true passion of ballroom dancing. In the US, she taught in the DC metro area, winning many Pro/Am competitions with students. After moving to Las Vegas, she coached professional boxing referees and Cirque du Soleil artists in dancing! Alina made her way back to the east coast and now dances professionally with Dmytro Churchun. They currently compete in International Ballroom and have made finals in several US competitions. She enjoys working with students of all levels in International and American styles.

Ciro
Instructor
Ciro
Originally from Naples, Italy, Ciro studied International Style Ballroom since he was 11 years old. Ciro took part in many national and international competitions throughout these years. Alongside ballroom, he also trained in ballet, modern jazz, and hip hop. Currently, Ciro is on the Washington Wizards dance team, where he continues to grow as a performer and artist.

Dima
Manager & Instructor
Dima
Dmytro began to dance at the age of 6, participating in and winning many Ukrainian national and international competitions. In 2006, began studying with one of the best trainers in Ukraine. Dmytro began to teach dance in 2009. In 2012, he was selected for the Paralympic Team of Ukraine, where he trained and danced with wheelchair-bound people. His students have won many national and international competitions. Also, Dmytro placed in the top 10 dancers for the World Championship in Italy in 2015, and 7th place of the European Championship in Poland in 2014. In 2017, he joined Chevy Chase Ballroom. Dmytro currently represents Chevy Chase Ballroom in professional competitions with his partner Alina Churchun.

Leslie grew up in the DMV area and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with her Bachelor's in International Studies. She's currently pursuing her Master's in Intelligence and Security at The Citadel. Leslie has been dedicated to creating excellent guest experiences and providing customer service. Her friendly and positive attitude makes guests feel welcome. Leslie appreciates dance and movement as she believes it is an important outlet for self-expression where the individual can feel and communicate in ways words cannot.
Our team comes from Russia, Italy, Ukraine, and across the US. What unites us is a love of teaching and a belief that dance transforms lives.
